In order to combine rajsatta (theocracy) with dharmsatta (politics), former IPS officer DG Vanzara on Tuesday established the political party known as “Praja Vijay Paksh”.
Speaking at a press conference in Ahmedabad, Vanzara asserted that the party will provide a political alternative to the BJP, which he claimed had grown “ineffective and corrupt due to a single-party dominance” during its 27 years in power in Gujarat.
Vanzara described the collapse of the Morbi bridge as a “administration disaster” and a “tragic human-caused event,” reflecting on the extent of corruption. The bridge functioned perfectly for 150 years until collapsing on the sixth day of renovations. It occurred as a result of people who were not qualified to perform the task and the failure to take the necessary safety procedures.
Additionally, the ex-IPS officer accused the BJP of “ignor[ing] demands of saadhu-sant (seers)”.
Vanzara stated that his party will run in all 182 seats and clarified that it is “Hindutvawadi” and that Gujarat “does not accept non-Hindutvawadi options.”
Since the BJP has been in power for 27 years, a one-party dominance system has developed. Corruption is happening as a result… One party rule cannot last for the benefit of the population… The BJP solely adheres to Rajsatta. Instead, we think there need to be dharmsatta along with rajsatta. The mahima (glory) of dharm (religion) and sant sadhu (seers) are absent because the BJP does not adhere to rajsatta, he continued.
Vanzara had been imprisoned for around eight years because to the alleged phoney encounters that occurred while he was a state-employed police officer.
When asked by the media if his political organization’s launch was related to the BJP’s refusal to provide him a ticket to run in the Assembly elections, Vanzara responded, “This is an ideological issue, not a ticket issue.
