Hamleys Opens First Store in Italy in Partnership with Giochi Preziosi

Milan, Italy, September 14, 2023 – Hamleys, the famous toy store that has been making children smile for over 260 years, has just opened its first shop in Italy. They teamed up with Giochi Preziosi S.P.A (GP), a well-known Italian toy company, to bring the magic of Hamleys to Italian families.
The new store is right in the heart of Milan, on a busy street near some historic places. And guess what? They’re planning to open another big store in Rome soon!
Hamleys is originally from England and has stores in many countries around the world. In 2019, a company called Reliance Brands Limited (RBL) bought Hamleys. Now, Hamleys has 191 stores in 15 different countries. The very first Hamleys store is still in London and is a super popular place to visit.
Sumeet Yadav, the CEO of Hamleys, said, “We’re so excited to open in Italy! Our goal is to make kids and families happy by giving them a great place to play and have fun. Our new store in Milan is going to be amazing, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The Milan store is huge, covering 13,300 square feet, and has two floors. It’s decorated in bright red and white colors to make it look really fun. Inside, there are lots of cool things to do, like riding on a carousel. They also have sections with all your favorite toy brands like Lego, Nerf, and Barbie. You can find all kinds of toys there, including Hamleys’ own special toys and toys from other companies.
Enrico Preziosi, the founder of Giochi Preziosi Group, said, “We’re really happy to bring Hamleys to Italy. This is just the beginning, and we have more exciting plans for the future.”
The grand opening of Hamleys Milan took place on September 14th, and they even had a parade and a special ceremony with bells. Now, everyone can go to the store and experience the magic of Hamleys for themselves.
