Prateik Babbar had long wanted to work with Madhur Bhandarkar. However, there was a greater reason to participate in India Lockdown, which was directed by Bhandarkar. “Madhur sir told me that my mother [Smita Patil] would portray such roles when he first came to me. You can honour Smita Patil if you do this, he remarked. I had already bought it. Additionally, I enjoy giving the audience a variety of characters. I was drawn to the role of a migrant labourer, says Babbar.
The director of the ZEE5 movie examines the pandemic-induced lockdown through the eyes of society’s outcasts. Babbar portrays a migrant labourer who is attempting to return to his hometown with his family. “This film is an emotion that we have all shared globally,” the actor claims. I had the chance to relive the difficulties the neighbourhood went through during the lockdown. They struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis even when not in that situation. Illustrating their harrowing journey was a very serious job. The uttermost sincerity was required. Sai Tamhankar, Aahana Kumra, and Shweta Basu Prasad are also featured in the film.
