On Wednesday, Karan Johar will turn 50 years old. Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor, and other pals helped the filmmaker celebrate his birthday.
It’s no surprise that Karan Johar celebrated his 50th birthday in the most lavish manner possible. On Wednesday, the director-producer became a year older. KJo was accompanied by a few of his closest industry friends as the clock struck twelve. Farah Khan, Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor, and Manish Malhotra were among them.
While the stars were seen making their way to Karan’s Mumbai house, Maheep and Manish uploaded photos and videos from the celebration on social media. According to the footage, Karan had a big dining table set for his guests, complete with roses and candles in the centre. Maheep also informed that a lavish three-tier cake had been prepared for the event.
The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star also uploaded a video of Karan dancing at his in-house bar. Karan was seen dancing to Badshah’s famous song Jugnu in the video, with everyone cheering him on.
On this important day, his industry colleagues and friends have filled social media with well wishes. Others that wished Karan on his birthday were Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Anushka Sharma, and Karisma Kapoor.
In the meantime, Karan is throwing a huge birthday bash at Yash Raj Studios. It was also announced that the party will have a black and bling theme. Amrita Mahal, who designed the sets for films like Kalank, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Brahmastra, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is in charge of the bash’s setting.
Marut Sikka and Harsha Kilachand, two celebrity chefs, have been enlisted to prepare a special dinner for the event. Harsha is a household name in South Mumbai for her scrumptious pastries, crunchy biscuits, silky melt-in-your-mouth chocolates, and other delicacies. Marut Sikka has opened award-winning restaurants and prepared meals for former President Barack Obama of the United States and Manmohan Singh of India.
