The Bollywood celebrity who is currently most bankable is Kartik Aaryan. His most recent movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, had 2022’s highest opening weekend. Even the recently released Shamshera from Ranbir Kapoor was unable to surpass Aaryan’s record. The actor believes that his upcoming movie, Shehzada, can surpass Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s box office record. He is now filming Shehzada’s last leg.
When asked to explain Shehzada in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik said immediately, “it can smash Bhool Bhualiyaa 2 records… it is far better.” The actor continued by saying that Shehzada is capable of surpassing the 200 crore mark. I don’t want to seem overly confident, but I’m crossing my fingers.
Shehzada, for the uninitiated, is the authorised adaptation of Allu Arjun’s popular film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020). Rohit Dhawan is directing the remake, while Kriti Sanon has been paired with Kartik. The movie was originally supposed to come out in November 2022, but it will now be released on February 10, 2023, around Valentine’s Day. Because of the postponement, Shehzada and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani have had a major conflict. For those who don’t know, Kartik and Karan are feuding. During the filming of Dostana 2, the two couldn’t get along, and Kartik was asked to leave. We all know how he was able to mitigate the negative publicity that followed it with his performances in films like Dhamaka and the recently released Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. However, it will be intriguing to see how the two films interact in this confrontation.
