India Sends a Strong Message: PM Modi Holds High-Level Meeting Amid Tensions with Pakistan

New Delhi: As tension rises at the border, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level security meeting in Delhi, reviewing the current situation and India’s defence response. The meeting was attended by top leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

This important meeting came after a major turn of events in India-Pakistan relations. The two countries had recently agreed to a ceasefire, aiming to reduce violence at the Line of Control (Loc). But the situation took a serious turn when a terror attack happened in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which left the Indian government deeply concerned.

Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army acted quickly and launched missile and drone strikes on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan. This strong military response aimed to dismantle terror infrastructures being used to train and launch attacks into India.

In retaliation, Pakistan attempted to launch its own missile and drone attacks on Indian territory the next day. Fortunately, India’s advanced defence systems intercepted and neutralised these attacks, preventing any major damage or casualties.

Not stopping there, India launched a second wave of attacks. The Indian Army destroyed several key Pakistani airbases and radar installations, showcasing India’s preparedness and military strength.

The retaliation seemed to worry Pakistan, as its DGMO (Director General of Military Operations) immediately contacted the Indian DGMO and proposed a ceasefire once again. A DGMO-level meeting between the two countries is scheduled to take place today.

Despite the ceasefire agreement, India has warned Pakistan not to misinterpret its restraint as weakness. PM Modi made it clear that India will respond with full force to any future provocation.

In his message, PM Modi said that “Agar Udhar Se Goli Chali to Idhare Se Gola Jayega”, emphasising that the Indian armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation and will give a “befitting reply” to any attempts to disturb peace. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and the top military leadership support this strong stance.

According to sources quoted by ANI, despite the ceasefire agreement on May 10, Pakistan violated it by sending drones and missiles into Indian territory. India responded by continuing Operation Sindoor — a military operation targeting terrorist bases and infrastructure deep within Pakistan.

The goal of Operation Sindoor is to send a clear and strong message: No place in Pakistan is safe for terrorists or their protectors. Sources say that those who believe they can train terrorists in one area and hide comfortably in luxurious bungalows elsewhere are mistaken — India is watching and will strike when necessary.

This operation has successfully dismantled several key hideouts and is continuing with strategic precision.

There will be a press conference by India today at 2:30 pm.
