Rapidise Expansion: Manesar Capacity Set to Rise Fourfold

Rapidise Expansion is Expected to Create About 1,000 Direct and Indirect Jobs.

Electronics design and manufacturing company Rapidise is expanding its production base in Manesar, Haryana, with a three-year investment plan of about ₹200 crore. The company said the expansion is expected to increase its overall manufacturing capacity in Manesar by four times and add about 1,000 direct and indirect jobs during FY27.

The expansion centres on a new 120,000 sq ft facility in Sector 8, which will operate alongside Rapidise’s existing 40,000 sq ft plant in Sector 3. The new facility is being fitted with additional Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment, automated production systems and digital monitoring tools.

Rapidise has already installed a dual-lane SMT line at the new site. The company said this has taken its component placement capacity to about 800,000 placements per hour.

The equipment is intended for the production of complex printed circuit board assemblies, including boards used in servers and artificial intelligence hardware. The company also plans to use connected manufacturing systems to record production information in real time.

Brijesh Kamani, Founder, MD and CEO of Rapidise, said, “Rapidise was built on bringing design engineering and manufacturing together. As we scale, we are building capacity ahead of demand so that infrastructure does not become a bottleneck to growth. The Manesar expansion gives us the manufacturing base to take larger and more complex programmes from design to volume production in India, while expanding our capabilities across AI hardware, networking and compute, defence and railways.”

The company said the ₹200 crore plan will be spent in phases. Part of the money is being used for the Sector 8 plant, while the wider programme includes the installation of 10 SMT lines and further development of the manufacturing site.

Rapidise’s own website lists its existing manufacturing facility at Plot No. 7 in Sector 3, IMT Manesar, and the new facility at Plot No. 435 in Sector 8. A Haryana government industrial listing also records Rapidise Technology Private Limited at the Sector 8 address.

The Manesar expansion comes as India’s electronics industry is moving into a much larger phase of production. Government figures show that electronics production rose from about ₹1.9 lakh crore in 2014-15 to ₹13.11 lakh crore in 2025-26. Electronics exports increased from about ₹38,000 crore to ₹4.24 lakh crore over the same period. The government said the sector now supports around 25 lakh jobs.

The change is also visible in the type of manufacturing India is trying to attract. The Production Linked Incentive Scheme for IT Hardware, launched in 2023, covers products such as laptops, tablets and servers. By July 2026, the government said the scheme had generated cumulative production of ₹24,385.89 crore, with investment of ₹1,056.36 crore and 5,216 direct jobs.

Printed circuit boards are another area receiving policy attention. The Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme, or ECMS, covers PCBs, passive components, electro-mechanical parts, sub-assemblies and other inputs used in electronics production. Its budget was increased from ₹22,919 crore to ₹40,000 crore in the Union Budget for 2026-27. By August 2026, the government said 106 projects across 15 states had been approved under the scheme, involving a proposed investment of ₹69,548 crore.

That policy shift matters for companies such as Rapidise because manufacturing finished electronics at higher volumes requires access to a wider domestic supply chain. Industry research by KPMG in June 2026 said India’s electronics manufacturing services market had quadrupled over five years, while also pointing to the need for stronger component production and greater engineering capability as the industry moves towards more complex products.

Napino Tech Ventures and Teksun launched Rapidise in 2025, with reported seed funding of $4 million. The company combines product engineering with electronics manufacturing and has said its work covers areas such as automotive, healthcare, industrial and consumer electronics. It has also expanded into Vision AI, connected devices and edge computing.

In a September 2026 interview published by Rapidise, Kamani said the company had concentrated its manufacturing facilities in Manesar to make use of the existing electronics workforce and supplier base in the region. He said the first manufacturing infrastructure was designed to support about ₹800 crore of output, while the second Manesar facility is planned for much higher production after the planned investment.

Rapidise has previously reported manufacturing capacity of more than 300,000 units a month and plans for additional facilities to support production of up to five million units a year. Its current product and manufacturing work covers automotive, consumer electronics, telecom, security and surveillance, networking and computing, healthcare and agriculture.

The latest Manesar investment therefore places the company within a wider shift in Indian electronics manufacturing. The immediate test will be how quickly the additional factory space, SMT lines and production systems translate into actual customer orders and higher output. For the region, the stated plan also brings a sizeable employment component, with Rapidise expecting about 1,000 direct and indirect jobs to be created during FY27.
