Team India: The Indian team (IND) is currently on a Test series tour of South Africa (SA). The Men in Blue have arrived in Centurion, where they will play their first test match on December 26.

Coach Rahul Dravid is putting the team through rigorous practice sessions these days. Because the tour is part of the World Test Championship, it is vitally crucial for Team India (WTC). Furthermore, in the last 29 years, India has not won a single Test series on African soil.

Let’s see how the playing XI for Team India performs in the first Test match.

These Players Can Open

Due to a recent injury to star player Rohit Sharma, he would be unable to play the first test. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal is expected to begin for Team India alongside KL Rahul.

In addition, Cheteshwar Pujara gets a chance to open the innings alongside Rahul.

India’s Potential Starting Eleven

KL Rahul (vice-captain), Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (captain), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Shardul Thakur, R Ashwin, Jayant Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, R Ashwin, Jayant Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah

When Are The Test Matches Scheduled To Take Place?

The first of a three-match Test series between India and South Africa will begin on December 26 in Centurion. The second match will begin on January 3 in Johannesburg, and the third and final match will begin on January 11 in Cape Town.
