Dholera Project Begins Construction as MP Manoj Tiwari Attends Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony

A new real estate project in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) moved into its construction phase on Saturday after Adhiraj Broghar Developer LLP held the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for The Crown on Rojka Road. Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari attended the event as the chief guest, joining company representatives, investors and business associates at a time when Dholera continues to attract attention for its industrial expansion and planned urban development.

Before the ceremony, Tiwari travelled across Dholera by helicopter with Akshay Kumar, Founder of Broghar Realty and Director at Adhiraj Broghar Developer LLP, along with other company directors. Actress, social activist and women empowerment advocate Sweta Chauhan also joined the aerial visit.

The helicopter survey offered a broad view of roads, industrial zones and other infrastructure being developed across Dholera SIR. Discussions during the visit focused on projects already under construction, future infrastructure plans and the region’s long-term economic prospects.

Speaking at the event, Akshay Kumar said, “The helicopter survey offered a remarkable perspective on the pace at which Dholera is developing. From world-class infrastructure to large-scale industrial investments, the transformation is becoming increasingly visible on the ground. We were honoured to host Shri Manoj Tiwari ji and discuss the future roadmap of Dholera, which is poised to become one of India’s most important economic growth centres.”

The company said all its partners attended the ceremony, including Akshay Kumar, Sailesh Goel, Kamal Goel, Dhan Parkash, Tushar Garg and Sachin Goel.

During the visit, Tiwari spoke about the scale of development taking place in Dholera and its growing role in India’s industrial plans. According to the organisers, he said the pace of infrastructure creation and investment reflects the country’s efforts to build globally competitive manufacturing centres and modern smart cities.

Dholera SIR is one of India’s largest greenfield industrial cities. Located around 100 kilometres southwest of Ahmedabad, the project forms part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, one of the country’s biggest infrastructure programmes. The Government of Gujarat and the Dholera Industrial City Development Limited have been developing the region with planned transport links, utility networks and industrial infrastructure designed to support manufacturing, logistics and urban growth.

The region has gained additional attention over the past two years following major investments announced by both government agencies and private companies. Among the biggest developments is the Tata Electronics semiconductor fabrication facility, approved with support from the Government of India under the India Semiconductor Mission. The project is expected to manufacture advanced semiconductor chips within the country, reducing dependence on imports while supporting India’s goal of building a stronger domestic electronics supply chain.

Semiconductors are essential components used in mobile phones, computers, vehicles, medical equipment, telecommunications systems and defence technologies. Industry experts believe that establishing semiconductor manufacturing in India could encourage more suppliers and technology companies to invest nearby, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs over time.

The discussions during Saturday’s visit also covered Dholera’s renewable energy ambitions. Gujarat already leads India in several clean energy sectors, including solar and wind power. Large renewable energy parks planned near Dholera are expected to supply electricity to industries while supporting India’s wider targets for expanding non-fossil-fuel energy capacity. The combination of industrial development and renewable power is seen as an important part of long-term planning for the region.

Over the past decade, Dholera has been promoted as a planned industrial city with modern transport systems, digital infrastructure, water management networks and integrated urban services. Work has continued in phases, with new roads, drainage systems, utility corridors and flood protection measures being developed before large-scale industrial operations begin.

The Crown project enters this changing landscape as developers continue to announce residential and commercial investments aimed at serving future workers, businesses and investors expected to move into the region as industrial activity grows.

The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony followed traditional Hindu rituals, seeking blessings before construction began. Such ceremonies are commonly held across India before major infrastructure and real estate projects start physical work.

Adhiraj Broghar Developer LLP said it intends to develop projects that align with Dholera’s expanding infrastructure and future growth. While construction of The Crown has now formally begun, the broader success of developments in Dholera will depend on continued infrastructure delivery, industrial investment, employment generation and demand for residential and commercial space over the coming years.

With central and state governments continuing to invest in roads, industrial facilities, semiconductor manufacturing and renewable energy, Dholera remains one of India’s closely watched economic development zones. Projects launched in the region today will be measured over time by their ability to support sustainable growth, create jobs and contribute to the larger vision of making India a stronger manufacturing and technology hub.
