The remake of the cult favorite superhero show “Shaktimaan” was announced earlier this year by Sony Pictures International Productions in collaboration with actor-producer Mukesh Khanna’s Bheeshm International.
Both adults and children loved the program, which featured Mukesh Khanna in the lead role.
And now, a recent rumor from India Today claims that Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is ready to fill Khanna’s shoes and bring back the enduring “Shaktimaan” character to the big screen.
According to a source cited in the paper, “Ranveer has expressed a strong desire to take on the role of the Indian superhero Shaktimaan. The superhero concept was first introduced in 1997, and the creators believe that Ranveer can give him a natural appeal. The performer and the team are now in discussion.”
Mukesh Khanna, the producers, and neither Ranveer nor them have yet issued a formal statement regarding this.
Ranveer most recently appeared in the critically panned social comedy “Jayeshbhai Jordaar.” The actor’s upcoming film will be Rohit Shetty’s “Cirkus,” and if rumors are to be believed, he is also working on “Simmba 2.”
