Akshay Kumar, who plays Bachchan Pandey in the film, previously played a role named Bachchan Pandey in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Tashan, which was a box office disaster. In fact, the actor’s appearance in Bachchan Pandey has reminded many of the admirers of his appearance in Tashan, fueling rumors of a spin-off.
The film is an action-comedy set in Rajasthan, and Kriti Sanon will portray a modern-day journalist in the film. While Arshad Warsi portrays a struggling actor, she aspires to be a director one day. The actor’s mustache segments are said to be set in flashbacks, with Jacqueline Fernandez starring opposite him.

The budget of the film has not been revealed yet, however it was reported last year that Akshay Kumar had charged approximately Rs. 90 crores for this film. Keeping this in mind- one can easily say that budget of this film will be more than Rs. 200 crores

Just a day before Holi, the movie will hit cinemas on 18th March 2022.
