Amma Ahmedabad Visit Set for 21 November 2026 This Year
Amma to Visit Ahmedabad on 21 November as Math Organises 14 Special Religious Rituals
Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, widely known as Amma, will visit Ahmedabad on 21 November 2026 as part of her annual India tour. Her visit will bring devotees from Gujarat and nearby states together for prayers, spiritual talks, devotional songs and meditation.
The visit comes as Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Ahmedabad, is holding a series of religious rituals known as the Sarvadosh Nivaran Homam and Puja. The programme will continue until 15 November 2026. It includes 14 types of homams and pujas, which devotees perform to seek blessings for peace, good health, family happiness, prosperity and protection.
The rituals follow Vedic traditions and include prayers for different needs. The organisers have invited devotees and their families to take part in the ceremonies.
Amma’s public programme in Ahmedabad is scheduled for 21 November. Her India tour runs from 30 October to 6 December 2026, with visits to several cities across the country.
According to the published tour schedule, the Ahmedabad programme will begin at 6 pm at Shri Bhagavat Vidyapith Trust Ground, Krishna Dham, Sola, on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway. The programme will include satsang, bhajans, meditation and an opportunity for devotees to receive darshan.
The local organisers have also opened registration for the religious rituals. People seeking further information can contact 9274143782.
The 14 rituals planned by Mata Amritanandamayi Math cover a range of religious needs. Maha Ganapathi Homam is performed to seek the removal of obstacles, while Maha Mrityunjaya Homam is linked to prayers for protection and strength during difficult times.
Maha Sudarshana Homam is intended to address negative influences, and Navagraha Homam is performed to seek peace from planetary troubles. Dhanvantari Homam is linked to prayers for health and healing.
Shiva Shakti Homam is held for family happiness and peace, while Tila Homam is performed to seek blessings from ancestors.
The programme also includes Kukuta Homam for the safety of children, Dhwaneshwari Puja and Homam for peace and prosperity, and Kali Puja and Homam to seek protection from harmful forces.
Durga Puja and Homam are included for protection and well-being. Vidya or Saraswati Puja is performed to seek knowledge and education. Shani Dosha Nivaran Puja and Rahu Dosha Nivaran Puja are also part of the programme.
The organisers say the combined rituals offer devotees an opportunity to take part in prayers for different aspects of life. Such ceremonies form part of Hindu religious practice, where people gather to perform prayers and seek blessings according to their faith.
Amma’s Ahmedabad visit is part of a wider annual programme that takes her to several parts of India. The 2026 tour includes stops in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Faridabad and Kolkata.
These gatherings usually include spiritual talks, devotional singing and meditation. Devotees also get an opportunity to meet Amma and receive her darshan.
Born in Kerala, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi is known for her spiritual teachings on love, compassion, service and care for others. Her followers often refer to her as Amma, which means mother.
Over the years, her work has grown beyond religious activities. Mata Amritanandamayi Math, founded in 1981, runs charitable programmes in areas such as healthcare, education, disaster relief, environmental protection and support for women.
The organisation also works to help people facing poverty and hardship. Its activities include medical care, educational support, housing assistance and relief work during natural disasters.
Amma’s spiritual teachings and charitable work have drawn followers from India and other countries. Her organisation has also built a network of volunteers who take part in social service activities.
For Ahmedabad, the November visit offers devotees an opportunity to attend a public spiritual programme without travelling to another city. People from Gujarat and nearby states are expected to take part.
The Sarvadosh Nivaran Homam and Puja, which will end on 15 November, will take place ahead of Amma’s public programme on 21 November.
Devotees seeking details about Amma’s Ahmedabad visit, the programme schedule or registration can contact the local organisers.
