GLS University, Ahmedabad, India, 20 December 2025: The 9th Convocation Ceremony of GLS University was a grand celebration of academic excellence and a proud milestone for over 5,003 students who were conferred degrees at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Held at the GLS Campus near Law Garden in Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, the ceremony brought together students, families, faculty members and dignitaries in an atmosphere filled with joy, reflection and hope for the future.

The ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Shri Surya Kumar Yadav, a celebrated Indian cricketer, Shri Sudhir Nanavati, President of GLS University, Shri Pankaj Patel, President of Gujarat Law Society, and Dr Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director of GLS University. Their presence added inspiration and warmth to the occasion, especially for young graduates stepping into professional life.
Indian sportspersons like Shri Surya Kumar Yadav are often admired beyond the field for their discipline, consistency and mental strength. His participation as Chief Guest symbolised the strong link between sports and education, where teamwork, resilience and focus play key roles in success.
The event also witnessed the conferral of Honorary Doctorates to two prominent individuals for their extraordinary contributions to society. Shri Vijay Chauthaiwale, in charge of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Shri Siddharth Randeria, renowned Gujarati actor, director and writer, were honoured for their work in public service and the arts. In addition, 40 students were honoured with Best Student Awards across disciplines such as Law, Computer Applications, IT, Commerce, Management and Design.
