Karkirdi Na Umbare Shares Career Paths For Young Minds. Gujarat Congress Leaders Highlight Student Future Through This Book
The 21st edition of the book ‘Karkirdi Na Umbare’ was launched by senior leaders, including All India Congress Committee General Secretary and Gujarat In-charge Shri Mukul Wasnik, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Amit Chavda, Leader of Congress Legislative Party Dr Tushar Chaudhary, former Gujarat Congress President and MP Shri Shaktisinh Gohil, and other senior dignitaries. The book has become a guiding light for lakhs of students and parents in Gujarat.
- Dr Manish Doshi, Media Convener of Gujarat Congress, who has worked in the education field for the last 30 years, along with his team, has published the book ‘Karkirdi Na Umbare’ for the 21st consecutive year to guide students after Class 12.
- The book is available in both Gujarati and English. It includes full details about colleges, courses, scholarships, education loans, and seat numbers after Class 10 and Class 12.
- For the last two decades, the Congress party has provided free career guidance for students to help them build a bright future.

Speaking at the launch event, Shri Mukul Wasnik said that education is the strongest tool for empowering society. He praised Dr Manish Doshi, Media Convener and spokesperson of Gujarat Congress, for his dedicated work in the education field for the last 30 years. He said that publishing this book continuously for 21 years is not just about releasing a book, but a service to guide lakhs of young people in Gujarat towards a better future. He added that after Class 10 and Class 12, students have many career opportunities, and the Congress party has always worked for social progress, prosperity, and empowerment along with politics. He said the party remains committed to the overall growth of students, who are the future of India.
At the launch event, Gujarat Congress President Shri Amit Chavda congratulated the team and said that for the last two decades, this book has reached thousands of poor and middle-class students living in border and rural areas of Gujarat. He said the Congress-led UPA government gave people the Right to Education, but poor implementation has created obstacles in building students’ futures. He said students and parents in Gujarat work very hard to succeed, and it is the responsibility of the state government to keep students’ futures at the centre of its work. He added that this book is very useful for families who cannot afford expensive career counselling fees. He also praised Dr Manish Doshi and his team for their continuous service.
Former Gujarat Congress President and MP Shri Shaktisinh Gohil said that after passing Class 10 or Class 12, students face many career choices. He said that without proper guidance, talented students may lose opportunities, and the book ‘Karkirdi Na Umbare’ works as an excellent guide. He added that Dr Manish Doshi has shared the knowledge and experience gained during his 30 years in the education field through this book. He also said that government and grant-in-aid institutions are weakening, while fees in private institutions are rising quickly. According to him, efforts to provide education for everyone in Gujarat are decreasing, and education is becoming more commercial.
Leader of the Congress Legislative Party Dr Tushar Chaudhary, said that during the Congress government at the Centre, major national institutions such as IIT, the new NID campus, Central University, and the Indian Institute of Information Technology were established in Gujarat. He said these institutions have become a matter of pride for the state. He added that the biggest strength of the book is that it not only gives information about courses, but also helps students develop good human values. He said that in today’s competitive world, the book provides strong support for value-based education and proper career selection.
Speaking at the launch of the 21st edition, Gujarat Congress Media Convener and spokesperson Dr Manish Doshi (Engineer) said that the book includes information about more than 300 courses available for Arts, Commerce, and Science students after Class 10 and Class 12. It also includes details about special career courses, colleges in the state, scholarships, education loans, seat numbers, and more. The book gives detailed information about more than 40 entrance examinations and national institutes. It also explains job opportunities expected to grow in the future. He said that students have many study options at the state and national level after Class 12, but they need proper and timely guidance. He added that the Congress party has worked with experts and career guidance organisations from different fields to provide simple and useful information to students.
