TTF Ahmedabad 2026 Opens with 900+ Global Travel Exhibitors

TTF Ahmedabad 2026 Opens as Gujarat Pushes Tourism Growth Agenda, Begins with Strong Global Participation

Gujarat’s growing role in India’s travel industry came into focus on Thursday as the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad 2026 opened at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. The three day business event, running from 6 to 8 August, has brought together tourism boards, travel companies, hotels, airlines, destination management companies, travel technology firms and other industry stakeholders from India and abroad.

Event Details

Event: TTF Ahmedabad
Dates: 6, 7 & 8 August 2026
Venue: Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Organiser: Fairfest Media Limited

The exhibition was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Bhai Patel. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Held in Gujarat for the past two decades, this fair has played a significant role in strengthening the State’s tourism ecosystem through its B2B travel trade exhibition.

Moreover, it has provided a platform to promote tourist destinations, strengthen business partnerships, and bring together stakeholders from across the tourism sector.

With the State Government declaring 2026 as the Year of Tourism, this fair will also play an important role in showcasing Gujarat’s tourist destinations and tourism opportunities to a wider global audience.”

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, Goa Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte and Gujarat Tourism Secretary Shri Kuldeep Arya, IAS. Senior tourism officials, including Dr. Vipin Garg, IAS, Commissioner of Tourism and Managing Director of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited, and Shri Y. S. Chaudhari, IAS, Joint Managing Director of the corporation, also took part in the opening ceremony.

The fair is being organised by Fairfest Media, which has conducted TTF exhibitions for more than three decades. The TTF network is recognised as one of India’s oldest and largest business-to-business travel trade platforms, connecting tourism organisations with travel professionals across major source markets in the country. Over the years, the exhibition series has hosted more than 4,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries and all Indian states and Union Territories, reflecting the growing size of India’s tourism economy.

This year’s Ahmedabad edition features more than 900 exhibitors representing 10 countries. Israel has been named the Featured Country, while tourism organisations from Vietnam, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, the United States, China, Thailand and Bhutan are also participating.

Gujarat Tourism is serving as the Host State. Partner States include Goa, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Rajasthan, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. West Bengal, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Delhi and Meghalaya are participating as Feature States, presenting a wide range of tourism products, cultural attractions and travel experiences.

The exhibition also includes a large private sector presence. Companies such as Holiday Mechanic, The Travel Nexus, Travelplug, Evoke Experiences, Radisson Hotel Group, Sayaji Hotels, Sarovar Hotels, ZANA Luxury Escapes, Maitri Visa and Travel Services, Treat Hotels and Resorts, Booking Junction, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Shankus Waterpark and Resort, Bariza Holidays, Infozeal, UTEN, Travel India and Yorker Holidays Services are among the participating brands.

Industry associations have also joined the event in large numbers. Organisations including OTOAI, TAAFI, ADTOI, ETAA, IATO, GTC, IATTE, ABTO, TOAI, TIA, NIMA, TAG, TOSG, SATA, GTAA, TAHAT, PTAHA, SGTCA, TAAS, ATAA, RAAG, VTAA, TAAPI, TOAK, TAAB, JTAA and the Jain Travel Agents Association are supporting the exhibition, reflecting broad participation from India’s organised travel trade.

The exhibition is taking place at a time when tourism has become an increasingly important contributor to India’s economy. Domestic travel has grown strongly in recent years, supported by higher household incomes, improved road and air connectivity and growing interest in leisure, religious and short holiday travel. State governments have also increased investment in tourism infrastructure as they compete to attract visitors and encourage private investment.

Gujarat has placed tourism among its development priorities by declaring 2026 as the Year of Tourism. The state has been expanding investment in destination development, heritage conservation, religious tourism and transport connectivity. Destinations such as the Statue of Unity, Gir National Park, the White Rann of Kutch, Somnath, Dwarka and Ahmedabad’s UNESCO World Heritage City continue to attract visitors from across India and overseas.

Ahmedabad itself has strengthened its position as a travel gateway for western India. According to figures released for FY 2025 to 2026, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport handled more than 1.38 crore passengers, including about 1.14 crore domestic travellers and nearly 24 lakh international passengers. The growth reflects increasing business travel, tourism and improved international connectivity, making the city an important departure point for both domestic and overseas holidays.

Fairfest Media Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Sanjiv Agarwal said Gujarat’s economic strength and high travel demand have helped make the Ahmedabad edition the largest exhibition in the TTF series. He noted that the event offers destinations and travel businesses an opportunity to meet buyers from western India before the busy festive and winter travel season.

Unlike consumer travel fairs, TTF Ahmedabad operates mainly as a business-to-business platform where tour operators, tourism boards, hotels, airlines and travel service providers hold meetings, develop partnerships and negotiate future business. Industry participants say such exhibitions help destinations reach travel agents who influence holiday planning and group travel across India.

As travel demand continues to rise, organisers and participants expect TTF Ahmedabad 2026 to strengthen business ties, encourage new tourism partnerships and support the wider goal of expanding India’s domestic and international tourism sector.
