When Sun Pictures stated on Thursday evening that they would be releasing a surprise for movie lovers on Friday morning, Rajinikanth fans had no idea it would be relevant to the Superstar’s next film. The star’s publicist, on the other hand, teased fans with an emoji-filled tweet.
Fans of Thalaivar waited with baited anticipation for the production house to make an announcement. The project, which was previously known as Thalaivar 169, will now be referred to as Jailer. According to reports, Rajinikanth would portray a jail warder in the film.
A few Kollywood celebrities, admirers of the star, and other movie buffs celebrated the title announcement on Twitter. They are ecstatic and have high hopes for filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar, despite his previous film failing to match fan expectations. Rajini’s previous film, too, had mixed reviews, hence the success of Jailer is vital for the actor-director team.
Actors Kalaiyarasan, Sathish, and Vivek Prasanna, as well as directors Karthik Subbaraj, Design Periyasamy, and Arunraja Kamaraj, screenplay writer Rathnakumar, art director Kiran, dance choreographer Sathish Krishnan, and screenwriter Rathnakumar were among those who went crazy over the title announcement.
Anirudh has been enlisted to create the soundtrack for the film. Fans who are commemorating the event are also waiting for an update from the filmmakers on the film’s shooting and distribution plans. Despite rumors to the contrary, the team has yet to reveal the cast and crew of the film.
