Army Agniveer Rally in Godhra From February 19 to March 2
Army Agniveer Recruitment Covers 21 Gujarat Districts Plus Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli
The Indian Army will hold an Agniveer recruitment rally at Shri Govind Guru University, Vinzol, Godhra, from February 19 to March 2, 2027, giving shortlisted candidates from parts of Gujarat and two Union Territories the next stage in the recruitment process.
The Army Agniveer Rally is being organised by the Army Recruiting Office, Ahmedabad, for four categories: Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Tradesman for 10th-pass candidates and Agniveer Tradesman for 8th-pass candidates.

Candidates from 21 districts of Gujarat and the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are covered by the recruitment arrangements. The Gujarat districts are Ahmedabad, Arvalli, Anand, Banaskantha, Bharuch, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Mehsana, Navsari, Narmada, Panchmahal, Sabarkantha, Surat, The Dangs, Tapi, Vadodara, Valsad and Vav Tharad.
The Army Agniveer Rally Recruiting Office has said that admit cards for shortlisted candidates were sent to their registered email addresses on September 15, 2026. Candidates have been asked to log in to the Join Indian Army website using their username and password and download the admit card before reporting for the rally.
The admit card is important because candidates are required to attend the recruitment process according to the date and time assigned to them. Recent Army recruitment notices have also made clear that candidates must carry the documents listed in their call letter and follow the instructions given for the rally. Candidates who do not report according to the assigned schedule may not be allowed to take part in the process.
The recruitment system for Agniveers begins with an Online Common Entrance Examination, followed by the physical and other screening stages for candidates who qualify. For the 2026-27 recruitment cycle, the Army conducted the CEE in June 2026 for several categories, including General Duty, Technical and Tradesman entries. Candidates who clear the written examination are called for the later stages according to the recruitment schedule and merit.
This means the Godhra rally is an important stage for candidates who have already cleared the required preliminary selection process. The rally process can include physical fitness and measurement tests, document checks and medical examination, depending on the category and instructions issued to each candidate.
The Agniveer system was introduced in 2022 under the Agnipath scheme. Under the scheme, selected young people serve in the Armed Forces for four years. At the end of that period, up to 25 per cent of a batch can be selected for further service in the regular cadre, based on organisational requirements and performance. The remaining personnel leave after completing their four-year engagement.
The government has also put measures in place to support Agniveers after their military service. The four-year engagement includes military training and service experience, while eligible personnel leaving after the term receive a Seva Nidhi package. The government has said that skills gained during service are being mapped to civilian job roles to improve employment opportunities after military service.
For young people in Gujarat’s districts covered by the Ahmedabad Army Recruiting Office, the Godhra rally therefore represents a major stage in the recruitment cycle. Candidates who have received an admit card now need to concentrate on the instructions printed on it, their physical preparation and the documents required for reporting.
The Army has repeatedly warned candidates against middlemen and people who claim that they can influence recruitment. Official Army recruitment notices state that selection is based on eligibility, performance and the prescribed recruitment process. Candidates do not need to pay anyone to secure selection.
For candidates who have questions about the Ahmedabad recruitment arrangements, the Army Recruiting Office, Ahmedabad can be contacted on 079-22861338.
The recruitment rally will take place at Shri Govind Guru University in Vinzol, Godhra, in Panchmahal district. The university is a Gujarat state public university established under Gujarat Act No. 24 of 2015.
For candidates already shortlisted, the immediate task is straightforward: check the registered email account, download the admit card from the Join Indian Army portal, read the reporting instructions carefully and prepare the required original documents well before the February 2027 rally.
