One of the most popular performers, Akshay Kumar, is now busy promoting his forthcoming movie, Selfiee. He has partnered with Emraan Hashmi for the first time. The crowd is anxiously anticipating seeing the Raj Mehta-directed movie on the big screen after the trailer and songs received an amazing amount of positive feedback. At a meet and greet with fans scheduled in Mumbai on Wednesday, Akshay, amidst active promotions, broke the Guinness World Record for the most self-portrait photos (selfies) taken in three minutes.
As of now, Akshay Kumar holds the Guinness World Records title.
Fans have frequently been impressed by Akshay’s daring actions. But this time, the actor has outdone himself, taking 184 selfies in just three minutes. By doing so, he broke James Smith’s previous world record of 168 self-portrait photos (selfies) taken in three minutes (USA). At the San Andreas movie premiere in London earlier in 2015, Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson set the previous record by taking 105 self-portrait photos (also known as selfies) in three minutes.
Akshay declared that he is pleased about smashing this special milestone. He stated: “I’m over the moon to break this particular World Record and celebrate with my supporters! The unwavering love and support of my followers around the world are the reason for everything I have accomplished thus far and where I am in this stage of my life. This was my way of especially honoring them and thanking them for supporting me and my efforts throughout my entire career.”
Diana Penty and Nushratt Bharuccha also play significant parts in Selfiee. The movie is scheduled to premiere in theatres on February 24.
