Asia Cup 2025: Interesting Points Table Situation
Newz Daddy Asia Cup 2025 Updates
Asia Cup 2025 has reached an interesting situation in both groups now.
Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by eight runs in a close encounter on Tuesday (September 16) as three teams are still in contention for the two playoff spots.
Afghanistan have plenty to play for as they prepare to take on Sri Lanka in their do-or-die Asia Cup group phase game.
Let’s first talk about Group A.

The remaining two teams are Porkistan and the UAE. The bragger Porkistan were saying that they will boycott the match against the UAE… Wow!!!.
Do they have the balls to do that ???
Another question is what if they play the match against the UAE and what if they lose? Then they will be out of the competition.
Can you imagine that situation?
What level of embarrassment will they have then?
So Porkistan is right now in a very dangerous situation. They have to play and have to win; these baggers have no choice right now. They will play to maintain their respect, which they actually don’t have.
So I think that these Porkis will play today agains UAE and I wish they lose this match. I am with the UAE. Do let me know in the comment box which team you will be supporting?
Now, let’s talk about Group B
Bangladesh have played all their group stage matches, and Hong Kong has already reached home.
One very important match in Group B is remaining in, and that is between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, which will be played tomorrow.

If Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will go through to the Super Fours but if Sri Lanka lose against the Afghans, in that case, all three teams will be have two wins out of three games and 4 points and then Net Run Rate will come into play and at that point and with the prevailing scenario, it will be very difficult for Bangladesh to qualify looking at the NRR they have.
Afghanistan will have to win either by more than 60 runs or with 50 balls to spare to help Bangladesh eke past Sri Lanka’s net run rate, which is likely looking very difficult.
If Sri Lanka wins, then Bangladesh will qualify because then Afghanistan will have only 2 points from one win and Bangladesh already have 4 points.
Afghanistan should not look at this and should only focus on winning the match against Sri Lanka and earn 2 points, and claim their spot in the Super Four.
Afghans have to bounce back on Thursday. If they can win well, it will give them a lot of confidence. There’s plenty to play for. They should have played better, but they have to pull their socks up for Thursday and prove themselves.
In Group B, which two teams do you think deserve to be in the Super Four? Do not forget to type in the comment box.
