Spreading the Magic of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Tourism is on a mission to captivate the hearts of Indian travelers with its enchanting offerings. With the launch of the “You’ll Come Back for More!” global campaign, Sri Lanka aims to showcase its diverse attractions and position itself as a year-round destination for all types of tourists. To further this initiative, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau are organizing a series of B2B Roadshows and Networking evenings in key cities across India.

Connecting with Indian Markets

On the 10th, 12th, and 14th of June 2024, the spotlight will shine on Indore, Vadodara, and Surat as Sri Lanka hosts B2B Roadshows and Networking evenings in these vibrant Indian cities. The goal is to attract more visitors from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat by showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage, pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and diverse tourism offerings. This strategic approach aims to strengthen ties with key markets in India and encourage more Indian travelers to explore the wonders of Sri Lanka.

Steering the Way Forward

Under the guidance of Mr. Harin Fernando, Honorable Minister for Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs, a delegation led by Mr. Krishantha Fernando, General Manager of Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, will spearhead the roadshow events. Comprising over 40 stakeholders from the tourism sector, including Destination Management Companies, leading hotels & resorts, homestays, tour operators, and other service providers, the delegation is poised to engage in meaningful B2B interactions with industry peers in each city.

Engagement and Interaction

The B2B Roadshows will provide a platform for industry stakeholders to showcase their offerings, discuss collaboration opportunities, and forge partnerships with Indian counterparts. This exchange of ideas and expertise is essential for fostering mutual growth and enhancing the tourism landscape in both Sri Lanka and India. Additionally, the events will facilitate interactions with key influencers, corporates, MICE agents, trade associations, and other service providers, further amplifying the reach and impact of Sri Lanka’s tourism initiatives.

Beyond showcasing its current offerings, Sri Lanka Tourism aims to share its vision, new tagline, and future tourism development plans during the roadshow events. By articulating its strategic direction and growth objectives, Sri Lanka seeks to instill confidence in its stakeholders and inspire collective action towards realizing its tourism goals. This proactive approach reflects Sri Lanka’s commitment to sustainable tourism development and ensuring a memorable experience for visitors.

With a target of attracting 2.5 million tourists in 2024, Sri Lanka Tourism is leaving no stone unturned in its pursuit of success. The “You’ll Come Back for More!” campaign has garnered attention on the global stage, with Sri Lanka making significant strides in promoting its attractions and tourist spots. From participating in international travel events like the Arabian Travel Mart in Dubai to hosting roadshows in Australia and Turkey, Sri Lanka is actively engaging with key markets worldwide to position itself as a premier travel destination.

As Sri Lanka Tourism continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its presence in India and beyond, the future looks promising. With its breathtaking natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality, Sri Lanka is poised to enchant travelers from around the world. Through strategic initiatives like the B2B Roadshows, Sri Lanka is laying the foundation for sustainable growth and ensuring that visitors keep coming back for more.
