The David Dhawan-directed movie “Coolie No 1,” which also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Johnny Lever in key roles, had its world debut on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video but underperformed at the box office.
On Sunday, the romantic comedy “Coolie No. 1,” starring Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, turned two.
The David Dhawan-directed movie “Coolie No 1,” which also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Johnny Lever in key roles, had its world debut on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video but underperformed at the box office.
The movie was an official remake of the blockbuster successful Hindi movie of the same name, which starred Govinda, Kader Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Shakti Kapoor.
In the meantime, Varun recently appeared alongside Kriti Sanon in the horror comedy movie “Bhediya,” which earned positive reviews from the public.
He will next be featured in the forthcoming social drama “Bawaal” by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, in which he will star alongside Janhvi Kapoor. He will also be making his OTT debut with an upcoming web series on Amazon Prime Video that is an Indian installment of the spy series “Citadel.”
In contrast, Sara will next be seen in Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Laxman Utekar’s untitled romantic drama movie.
She also has the upcoming films “Gaslight,” starring Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, and “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” in which she will play a courageous freedom fighter in a story that is set in 1942 during the Quit India Movement.
She will also appear in the anthology movie “Metro…In Dino,” directed by Anurag Basu, with Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkana Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal.
