A significant moment unfolded today as Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Jainacharya Shri Himachalsuri Circle and unveiled the statue of the revered Jain saint, Pujya Gurudevshri Jainacharya Shri Himachalsuri. The ceremony was held at the prestigious Sardar Patel Memorial Bhavan in Shahibag, Ahmedabad.

Joining the Chief Minister in this auspicious event were prominent figures like State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Ahmedabad Mayor Pratimaben Rakesh Kumar Jain, Member of Parliament Dineshbhai Makwana, and Asarwa MLA Darshanaben Vaghela. The gathering was graced by the presence of esteemed Jain monks, Jain Acharya Srimad Vijay Ravishekharsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb and Shrimad Vijay Lalitsoorishwarji Maharaj Saheb.

Jainacharya Shri Himachalsuri, whose life and works were celebrated during the event, is well-known for his extraordinary contributions to Jainism and society at large. He consecrated 232 Jain temples, a testament to his spiritual dedication. Beyond his religious achievements, he spearheaded numerous public welfare initiatives, establishing Sri Nakoda Tirtha in Rajasthan’s Mewanagar, and founding gaushalas, hospitals, Jain hostels, and schools across the Mewar and Marwar regions.
