India Vs Australia
On March 11, Day 3 of the fourth Test against Australia was Shubman Gill’s second hundred in the longest form of the game. Gill was chosen to start with Rohit Sharma in the third Test at Indore after KL Rahul was taken out of the game for not playing well enough.
Gill wasn’t able to do his best in the third Test, but he did very well in Ahmedabad. In red-ball cricket, the teenager at the top of the order made only his second century for India. He and Cheteshwar Pujara put together more than 100 runs for the third wicket.
Even though Gill got his first Test century during the Bangladesh series, KL Rahul replaced him in the games that followed. But Rahul had trouble in the first few games against Australia. Gill, on the other hand, came back strong in Indore and did a great job in Ahmedabad.
When Gill got to 100 runs, everyone in the Indian camp jumped up and down in joy. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, had a face that stood out. After Gill scored, the former captain of India cheered for him with a big smile on his face.
It was difficult to understand why Gill was not taken in the team during the first two tests against Australia.
However, Gill has proved why he deserves a place on the team. He is the future of Indian Cricket possibly in all the formats. He has scored his first century in India and which is going to be one of many in the coming years.
However, Pujara could not last long and got out when he was on 42 soon after Gill’s century.
At the end of day 3, Jadeja and Kohli were at the crease on 16 and 59 respectively.
As it was predicted that this test match is not going to be completed in 3 days as it did in the last three test matches, day 4 will be the test of the rest of the Indian batters.
What will happen on day 4?
Will Kohli be able to score his 28th Test century?
Will he be able to take India to a strong position in the match?
