Nita Ambani Proud of Indian Football’s Growth

Mrs. Nita Ambani, the founder of Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), is very happy with the Indian Super League (ISL) for giving young Indian football players a chance to show their skills and play for the national team. She spoke about this during the Mumbai City FC vs. Kerala Blasters FC match at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Mrs. Ambani mentioned some talented players like Sandesh Jhingan, Akash Mishra, and Sahal Abdul Samad, who have been nurtured by the ISL and are now playing well. She is proud of the league for helping these young talents get recognized.

The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Mr. Thomas Bach, was also at the match. He praised the ISL for helping Indian football grow in the last 10 years. He was impressed with the passionate fans and thanked Mrs. Ambani and the FSDL team for making the ISL a top-tier football league in India.

Mr. Bach mentioned how great it was to see fans from different teams sitting together and enjoying the game peacefully. He appreciated what the ISL, led by Mrs. Ambani, has achieved in bringing football to where it is today in India.

Mrs. Ambani is leading the Indian delegation at the 141st IOC Congress in Mumbai on October 14. She believes that initiatives like the ISL will help India become a country that excels in multiple sports. She also praised the Indian athletes for winning 107 medals at the Asian Games in China, showing that with the right support and infrastructure, Indian athletes can do well on the global stage. Mr. Bach also congratulated the Indian team and looked forward to seeing what they can achieve in the Paris Olympics in 2024.
