Raju Bhai Karpada joins the BJP strong move in Gandhinagar
At the BJP state office ‘Shri Kamalam’ in Koba, Gandhinagar, young farmer leader Mr Raju Bhai Karpada joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with hundreds of supporters.
This move comes at a time when political shifts in Gujarat are gaining pace, especially in rural areas. Mr Raju Bhai Karpada has been active in farmer movements for many years. Reports show that he earlier worked closely with farmer groups and raised issues like crop loss, fair prices, and support during difficult seasons. His entry into the BJP shows how farmer leaders are now looking for stronger platforms to raise their voice.
According to a press note from the Gujarat BJP media department, Mr Aniruddh Bhai Dave, State General Secretary, welcomed Mr Raju Bhai Karpada into the party by offering him the BJP scarf.
Political experts say such public joining events are important in Indian politics. They show strength and unity. When a leader joins with many supporters, it sends a message that the party is growing at the ground level. In Gujarat, parties often focus on local leaders who have direct contact with farmers and rural voters. This helps them build trust and expand their reach in villages.
On this occasion, young farmer leader Mr Raju Bhai Karpada said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the central government and the BJP government in Gujarat are doing many works for farmers.
In recent years, both central and state governments have increased direct support for farmers. For example, under the PM-Kisan scheme, thousands of crores have been directly sent to farmers’ bank accounts across Gujarat. This direct transfer system helps farmers get money without delay or middlemen. Many farmers say this system is simple and gives quick relief during tough times.
He said that by joining the BJP, he will be able to work for farmers and truly achieve his goal of farmer welfare through politics. He also expressed his commitment to work as a loyal worker of the BJP under the guidance of State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma.

In the past year, Gujarat saw heavy and unusual rainfall that damaged crops across all districts. The government responded with a large relief package. Around ₹10,000 crore was given as compensation for crop loss, and crops worth about ₹15,000 crore were purchased at support prices. This helped many farmers recover from losses and continue farming.
He appreciated the support given through a direct aid of ₹10,000 crore, ₹15,000 crore for crop purchase at support prices, and a total relief package of ₹25,000 crore, which was given directly to farmers’ bank accounts.
Experts say such large relief packages are rare and show how governments now focus on quick financial help. Direct bank transfers reduce delays and ensure that the money reaches the right person. In Gujarat alone, lakhs of farmers have received compensation in recent years due to crop damage caused by weather changes.
On this occasion, State General Secretary Mr Aniruddh Bhai Dave, former State Vice President Mr Gordhan Bhai Zadafiya, State Vice President Mr Rasik Bhai Prajapati, former State Minister Mr Jaysinh Bhai Chauhan, State Chief Spokesperson Dr Anil Bhai Patel, BJP leader Mr Bharat Bhai Boghra, and other BJP leaders welcomed Mr Raju Bhai Karpada and leaders from various communities, along with supporters, by offering them the BJP scarf and warmly welcoming them into the Bharatiya Janata Party.
