Taapsee Pannu stars in the upcoming film ‘Shabaash Mithu,’ which has just unveiled its teaser. The film is based on the life of Mithali Raj, the great cricketer, and captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team. Mithali Raj has been playing international cricket for 23 years and has amassed over 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, breaking various records along the way. The film chronicles how she overcomes adversity to become a successful cricket player.
Mithu, the promising cricketer, is played by Taapsee Pannu in the teaser. The only person who does not laugh at her is Vijay Raaz, who plays her coach. He notices her potential and invites her to join the women’s cricket team. Mithu, on the other hand, is harassed and insulted all the time. In the face of mockery and societal expectations, she learns to stand up for herself.
