With an incredible 8.4 million views, the Pankaj Tripathi-led courtroom drama Criminal Justice: A Family Matter has had a historic debut, setting a new record for the strongest opening day of a Hindi original on streaming services! (according to Ormax) The show became the most watched Hindi special on JioHotstar within hours of its debut, solidifying its status as a streaming and cultural sensation.
With a three-episode premiere on May 29 and a weekly episodic rollout, the show, which was produced by Applause in collaboration with BBC Studios India and directed by Rohan Sippy, has emotionally connected with viewers across. Its multi-layered narrative, complex characters, and stirring performances have won accolades from viewers.
