India U19 defeated Uganda U19 by 326 runs, becoming the four-time champions of the tournament. In U19 cricket, this is the second-best margin of victory.
The Indian bats deserve the majority of the credit for scoring 405 runs in the first inning. India now has a score of 405, thanks to centuries from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Raj Bawa. Raj Bawa batted at number four and scored 162 runs in 108 balls. He broke Shikhar Dhawan’s record for the best score by an Indian batsman in U19 cricket.
The Bawa-Raghuvanshi combination added 206 runs to India’s total. In U19 cricket, only Australia has a larger margin of victory than India.
Nishant Sandhu weaved a web around the Ugandan batters as they faltered without disturbing the scores when India came out to bowl. He took four wickets.
For his outstanding batting performance, Raj Bawa was named Man of the Match. His 162 will go down as one of the finest U19 World Cup knocks ever. Bawa stated that he is a huge follower of Yuvraj Singh and admires his batting style. He is from Himachal Pradesh and qualifies as an allrounder because he bowls at a fast pace all the time.
In the ICC U19 World Cup quarter-finals, India will meet Bangladesh.
