In January 2022, South Korean video game company Krafton reported that 2 lakh accounts on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) were banned.
The action is in keeping with the firm’s zero-tolerance policy for cheaters and measures to eliminate the use of unlawful tools and activities in the game, according to the corporation.
“Enabling a fair gaming experience for players has always been a priority for Krafton, and the company has been implementing robust efforts to deliver an impartial and unobstructed experience for players,” the company said in a statement.
To keep BGMI secure, the firm said that if a player is caught using illicit tools on any device, a device ban would be applied. The device will be permanently banned as a result of the newly implemented security logic.
The corporation has a sophisticated cheat detection and banning system in place, which enables real-time monitoring of cheaters and the banning of players who use unlawful tactics.
It stated that all interim bans will be replaced with Permabans or permanent bans.
Between December 20 and December 26, Krafton said that it has permanently banned 58,611 accounts.
The firm released the whole list of banned accounts on its website, claiming that they “tried to damage the game.”
