Kerala Plus-I Results: Only 62.28% of Students Passed the Exam This Year. Science Holds Ground at 68.69%, But Still Shows a Decline
Students Disappointed as Kerala’s Plus-I exam pass rate drops 5% to 62.28%. Around 2.36 lakh of the 3.79 lakh normal school applicants whose results were released passed the test.
According to the most recent results released on Monday, the Higher Secondary Plus-I exam’s pass percentage is 62.28%, a drop of more than 5% from the previous year. The pass rate was 67.30% last year.
2.36 lakh of the 3.79 lakh normal school applicants whose results were released passed the test. The Plus-II exam results from last month also showed a minor reduction, with an overall success percentage of 0.88% lower.
With a success percentage of 68.69%, Science had the highest of the three streams, however, this represents a 1.29% drop from the year before. The Commerce stream’s success rate dropped from 69.20% last year to 59.64% this year, representing a notable decline of over 10%. The success percentage for the Humanities stream was 50.57%, which was more than 7% lower than the year before.
The overall success percentage in the Open School category was 40.53%, which represented a slight 0.2% decrease from the previous year. The success rates for science, humanities, and commerce among Open School applicants were 70.36%, 37.30%, and 35.31%, respectively.

The success rate in the technical category was 44.37%. Sixty-three of the 1,562 pupils whose results were released received a score of at least 30%.
