Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University has been officially recognised as an Awarding Body (Dual Category) by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, India
BAOU is now the first University & Higher Education Institution from Gujarat to receive this prestigious recognition, setting a new benchmark in the state for skill-integrated higher education.
This step comes at a time when India is putting a strong focus on skill-based learning. The agreement was formalised in the presence of distinguished representatives from NCVET, including Devashri Mukharji, President, NCVET, Ashok Kumar Gaba, Member, NCVET, and Vikram Singh Bhati, Secretary to the Council cum Director, NCVET. Representing BAOU were Prof. Ami Upadhyay, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilesh Modi, Director, Centre for Internal Quality Assurance and Dr Maheshprasad Trivedi, Director, Academic.
