Taneira Launches Inaya Saree Collection

Taneira Strengthens Inaya Saree Collection With Nature-Inspired Designs and Modern Styling

Taneira Launches Inaya Saree Collection Starting at Rs 3,499

Taneira is pushing deeper into India’s growing premium ethnic wear market with its contemporary saree collection, Inaya. While the brand officially introduced the collection earlier in April 2026, the latest showcase during a media interaction highlighted the thought process, research and fashion strategy behind the range.

Taneira Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Somprabh Kumar Singh explained how the brand is focusing on modern Indian women who want occasion wear that feels elegant, lightweight and easy to style.

Priced from Rs 3,499, the Inaya collection combines festive appeal with practical comfort. The sarees are designed for weddings, pre-wedding celebrations, family gatherings and social occasions where customers now prefer lighter and more versatile outfits.

Nature Plays a Big Role in Inaya’s Design Language

One of the biggest highlights of the Inaya collection is its inspiration from nature. Singh said the design team studied natural elements, changing landscapes and floral movements while developing the sarees.

The collection uses abstract floral motifs, flowing patterns and soft colour palettes inspired by dawn skies, blooming flowers and evening tones. This gives the sarees a modern festive look without making them feel overly heavy or traditional.

Fashion experts say nature-inspired ethnic wear has become increasingly popular because buyers now prefer softer and more wearable designs over loud embellishments.

Taneira appears to be using this shift to position Inaya as a contemporary celebration wear collection for younger buyers and working women.

What Makes Inaya Sarees Different

The biggest USP of the Inaya collection is the balance between lightweight comfort and festive styling and pricing.

Traditionally, occasion sarees are often heavy and difficult to manage during long events. Inaya focuses on flowy fabrics and lighter textures that make movement easier while still offering a premium appearance.

The collection also stands out because it mixes modern design sensibilities with Indian ethnic craftsmanship. Many sarees in the range feature woven designs, embroidery, faux zari work and contemporary patterns.

Another important factor is accessibility. With starting prices at Rs 3,499, Taneira is targeting customers looking for premium-looking festive wear without entering the luxury price segment.

Industry observers believe this pricing strategy could help the brand attract first-time premium saree buyers, especially among younger urban consumers.

Taneira Invests Heavily in Saree Design Research

During the interaction, Singh revealed that Taneira has a team of nearly 25 designers working on research and development for new designs and fashion trends.

The company closely tracks changing customer preferences, wedding fashion trends, colour movements and fabric innovations before developing collections.

This focus on R&D has become increasingly important in India’s ethnic wear market, where customer tastes are changing rapidly due to social media, celebrity fashion and digital shopping trends.

Brands are now expected to launch fresher collections more frequently while still maintaining traditional craftsmanship.

Taneira’s design-driven approach is helping the brand compete in a market where customers want both heritage and modern styling in a single product.

Inskirts Become an Important Part of Saree Fashion

Interestingly, Singh also highlighted another fast-growing category for the brand: inskirts or petticoats.

Traditionally, petticoats were treated as basic innerwear. However, fashion brands are now redesigning them for better comfort, shape and saree draping support.

Taneira has built a strong range of inskirts in multiple fabrics, colours and fits to match different saree styles.

This has become important because modern saree buyers are paying attention to the complete styling experience rather than just the saree itself.

Experts say comfortable and well-fitted inskirts improve the fall, drape and overall appearance of a saree. Many younger consumers are also looking for stretchable and lightweight options that are easier to wear during long events.

By expanding its inskirt category, Taneira is trying to position itself as a complete saree styling destination rather than only a saree retailer.

Occasion Wear Continues to Drive Business Growth

Singh said occasion wear contributes nearly 60% to 70% of Taneira’s overall sales.

The Indian wedding and festive fashion market continues to remain one of the biggest growth drivers for ethnic wear brands. Consumers are increasingly shopping for multiple looks for different events instead of repeating the same outfit.

This trend has pushed brands to create versatile collections that suit intimate gatherings, cocktail functions, festive dinners and wedding ceremonies.

The idea behind Inaya’s campaign line, “Never Look the Same”, directly reflects this changing customer mindset.

The Inaya collection shows how India’s saree market is evolving. Customers no longer want only traditional heavy sarees. They are now looking for lighter fabrics, modern styling and easier draping options.

At the same time, shoppers still want the elegance and emotional value attached to ethnic wear.

Taneira is trying to bridge these expectations by combining contemporary designs, affordable premium pricing and functional styling products like inskirts.

The brand’s investment in design research also shows how competitive India’s ethnic fashion industry has become.

With Inaya, Taneira is targeting a new generation of saree buyers who want fashion that feels stylish, expressive and practical.

The collection’s focus on nature-inspired designs, lightweight fabrics and accessible pricing gives it strong appeal during the ongoing wedding and festive season.

Taneira’s emphasis on design research and complete saree styling solutions could also help the brand strengthen its position in India’s fast-changing ethnic wear market.
