ABSS Platform Launches in Ahmedabad for India’s MSME Market

ABSS Launches Integrated Business Platform Aimed at Indian MSMEs

Ahmedabad-based Adaptive Business Support Systems (ABSS) has launched an integrated business management platform aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in India, bringing accounting, sales, inventory, purchasing and production functions into a single software system.

The company introduced the platform at an event in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, attended by business owners, professionals, partners and members of the media. The launch marks an early step for ABSS, which was incorporated as Adaptive Business Support Systems LLP in Ahmedabad in June 2025. Public company records list Smitkumar Jagdishbhai Dudhat and Parth Baldevbhai Patel as its designated partners.

ABSS is entering a market where many smaller firms still depend on a mix of accounting software, spreadsheets, messaging applications and manual records to run day-to-day operations. The company says its platform is designed to put these activities into one system so that information can move between different parts of a business without repeated data entry.

The issue is relevant to a large section of India’s economy. Government-backed MSME documents have described the sector as comprising about 63.4 million units and supporting roughly 110 million jobs, while accounting for around 30 per cent of India’s GDP and about 48 per cent of exports. These figures are based on government reports and surveys cited in state plans under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance programme.

For many smaller companies, the decision to adopt business software is tied to cost, ease of use and the availability of staff who can operate it. Larger enterprises can often maintain separate teams for finance, inventory, sales and production. A smaller manufacturer or trader may have the same tasks handled by a handful of employees.

ABSS says its platform was developed with this difference in mind. The company wants to provide smaller firms with access to functions normally associated with larger business systems without requiring them to operate several separate applications.

Its current product offering includes ABSS Books and ABSS CRM. According to the company’s website, ABSS Books covers sales, purchases, inventory, production, accounting and GST-related functions. The system also includes financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. ABSS CRM is designed to manage leads, customers, quotations, follow-ups and sales pipelines.

The company says the two systems share business data. A quotation created in the CRM can be converted into an invoice in the accounting system, reducing the need to enter the same customer or order information again. The platform also supports GST invoicing, e-invoicing and e-way bills, according to ABSS.

The software is also available through mobile applications. Listings on Apple’s App Store and Google Play describe ABSS as a business accounting and management application covering areas such as invoicing, expenses, payments, financial reporting, customer management, sales and inventory. The Google Play listing was updated in July 2026.

Smit Dudhat, Director, ABSS, said the company wants business technology to be available to smaller firms rather than being limited by the size of a company.

“Enterprise software should not be a privilege reserved for large corporations. Every MSME deserves access to technology that helps them manage inventory, sales, accounts, purchases, and production without unnecessary complexity or high cost. ABSS has been built with the vision of making powerful business management accessible to every growing business.”

The company’s approach also reflects a wider change in how Indian small businesses handle financial and operational records. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has run initiatives focused on digital payments among MSMEs and has noted the importance of digital transactions in business activity and policy planning.

For businesses, moving from separate systems to connected software can affect routine tasks such as preparing invoices, checking stock, following up sales leads and recording payments. The benefit, however, depends on whether the software fits the firm’s actual workflow and whether employees can use it effectively. Cost, training, data security and reliable support will remain important considerations for smaller companies choosing such platforms.

ABSS says it plans to add further modules as its product develops. Its stated roadmap includes team collaboration and additional business functions, while its existing platform is focused on accounting, CRM, sales, purchasing, inventory and production.

The company itself is still young. Adaptive Business Support Systems LLP was incorporated on 30 June 2025, with its registered office in Nikol, Ahmedabad. Public records show a contribution of ₹1 lakh and two designated partners.

That makes the launch an early test of whether a locally developed software company can win the confidence of India’s large and varied MSME market. For ABSS, the immediate task will be to turn its broad list of business functions into a product that smaller firms find affordable, dependable and easy to use in their daily work.
