After almost three years of software upgrades, OnePlus has discontinued support for the popular OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones. OnePlus announced earlier in 2021 that its Software Maintenance Schedule would be updated to include three major Android releases as well as four years of security patches for premium OnePlus handsets. This Software Maintenance Schedule applies to the OnePlus 8 and later models.
Only the OnePlus 8 and newer smartphones are supported.
The OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T were released in 2018 and use Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 processor. A 16MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture is featured on both smartphones.
