Rohit Bose Roy has come a long way in the entertainment industry, from Viraasat on television to Shootout at Lokhandwala on the big screen and Mumbai Saga on OTT. The actor is currently preparing for his international debut in the film ‘IRaH.’ The film IRaH, directed by Sam Bhattacharjee, will be released in theatres on September 22. However, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha a month before the film’s release, Rohit was asked if he believes Bollywood has justified his caliber. The actor immediately responded with a “no,” stating that he never understands why he isn’t given good roles.
Rohit has repeatedly stated that he will not accept a role unless it is critical to the success of the project.
“I don’t think I was given the opportunities I deserved.” I’m not blaming anyone, but I don’t believe the people with whom I worked saw (my acting) as part of my work. I’ve been a professional actor for over 25 years. It’s strange because people constantly ask me, ‘Why don’t we see you more?’ How can you see more of me if I’m not getting my due? I will not appear in a film, television show, or television serial unless I am driving the show. For me, it’s very simple.”

These kinds of things give me hope that the audience will come to see me because they value my efforts. I’m not sure. “There is no clear reason why I don’t get to work on films or television shows that I want to do,” he explained.
Finally, the actor stated that as long as the role is good, he is willing to work in any medium. “I’ve never turned down work or a medium. “I clearly don’t care about the medium,” he explained. “It’s about the role, the show, what I’m doing in the show, and how that will shape the story.”
