Inauguration of Dr. Vishnuprasad Oza Library’s New Building
The Dr. Hedgewar Birth Centenary Seva Samiti, with the support of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and community leaders, organized the inauguration ceremony of the new building of Dr. Vishnuprasad Oza Library today.
In Ahmedabad, a significant event unfolded as the Dr. Vishnuprasad Oza Library celebrated the inauguration of its new building. This milestone was achieved through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Hedgewar Janma Shatabdi Seva Samiti, in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and esteemed community leaders. The ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including Hon. Mayor Smt. Pratibhaben Jain, Shri Shaileshbhai Patel (Regional Executive, RSS Gujarat), Shri Amitbhai Thakar (MLA of Vejalpur), Shri Devangbhai Dani (Standing Committee Chairman, AMC), Shri Dilipbhai Bagadia (Municipal Councillor), and Shri Maheshbhai Parikh (Trustee of the Organization).

Shaileshbhai Patel, the chief speaker of the event, shared that today is a special day as it marks:

- Gudi Padwa
- The birth anniversary of Dr. Hedgewar, the founder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)
He emphasized that RSS stands for selfless service and praised the contribution of the Dr. Vishnuprasad Oza Library in bringing social change and promoting skill development.
Running for 25 years, the library has a collection of 3,500 books.
100-125 students visit daily to read and prepare for competitive exams.
The organization is also committed to women’s empowerment and runs various projects for their self-reliance.
This event highlighted the importance of education, selfless service, and community development in society.
