Kolkata, September 23, 2023: The renowned Indian filmmaker Gaurang Jalan has been chosen as a member of the international jury for cinema and theatre at the Cairo Film Festival. This prestigious event, known as the Awladna International Forum for Arts of the Gifted, is taking place from September 22nd to 29th in Cairo, Egypt, under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and with the support of various Egyptian government ministries. The festival is a part of the Afro-Chinese Arts and Folklore Festival, featuring participants from 41 countries.

Gaurang Jalan, who received a National Award for his film “Avijatrik” in September 2022, expressed his honor at representing India on the international stage.
