On the anniversary of the cinema legend Irrfan Khan’s birth, his son and fellow actor Babil Khan paid tribute to him with heartfelt posts. Babil posted a few pictures from his early years, in which he is pictured with his late father Irrfan Khan. Babil added an emotive commentary to the post. He stated: “I can’t sleep because of the questions. I can no longer ask the questions I never dared to ask back then. I’ll figure it out even if my questions are left for me to answer on my own. I don’t believe there is a solution for the fact that I miss your laughing, though. recalling the day you first came here.”
On April 29, 2020, Irrfan Khan passed away in a hospital in Mumbai. After receiving treatment in London, he battled a tumour for several months before returning to Mumbai. Sutapa, Irrfan Khan’s wife, and their kids Babil and Ayan are left behind.
Irrfan Khan has starred in a number of critically acclaimed and financially lucrative movies. Among them are Salaam Bombay, which was nominated for an Academy Award, Maqbool, Haasil, Paan Singh Tomar, Haider, Pinku, and Talvar. The actor, who over the years rose to fame, has starred in movies shot abroad, including The Namesake, Life of Pi, Inferno, Slumdog Millionaire, and The Warrior. Angrezi Medium, which also starred Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor, was his most recent Bollywood endeavour.
The movie Qala, which also starred Triptii Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, and Varun Grover, marked Babil Khan’s acting debut. Anvita Dutt, who also directed the movie, made it available on Netflix last year.
