ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple’s Jagannath Rath Yatra Creates a Devotional Atmosphere in Residential Areas Near Bhadaj
ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, Bhadaj, is organising Lord Jagannath Rath Yatras at 18 different locations across Gujarat. The sacred aim is to bring the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Mata to as many people as possible. Through this special initiative, devotees and local residents have the wonderful opportunity to have the Lord’s divine darshan close to their homes, pull the chariot, join the Hare Krishna sankirtan, and receive the Lord’s mercy prasadam.
As part of this initiative, a grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Mata was held today in the residential areas near ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, Bhadaj, including Supercity. A large number of local residents gathered to have darshan of the beautifully decorated chariot carrying the deities. Devotees offered flower petals, said prayers, and had the Lord’s darshan with deep devotion.
The entire area was filled with the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, devotional kirtan, and joyful dancing. Many local residents joined the Rath Yatra willingly, had the opportunity to pull the Lord’s chariot, and took part in the Hare Krishna sankirtan. Throughout the procession, the Lord’s mahaprasadam was generously distributed, and everyone received it with devotion.
ISKCON’s Founder Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, explained that the Rath Yatra is a symbol of Lord Jagannath’s unlimited mercy. The Lord personally comes out of the temple to bless every living being and gives everyone the opportunity to make their lives spiritual through Hare Krishna sankirtan, Krishna prasadam, and devotion. Following this divine vision of Srila Prabhupada, ISKCON now organises Rath Yatras around the world.
The Rath Yatra spread the message of peace, compassion, harmony, and universal brotherhood. It also filled the hearts of everyone present with devotion and spiritual joy.
