The political focus in Gujarat is on Vadodara’s Manjalpur Assembly constituency today, as Monday, 13 July, is the final day for candidates to file their nomination papers for the by-election. The Election Commission will scrutinise the nomination papers on 14 July, candidates can withdraw their names until 16 July, voting is scheduled for 30 July, and counting will take place on 3 August.
