Newz Daddy Educational Update
In partnership with the National Council for Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Public Leadership (NCCSD) and Sri Seetha Rama Seva Sadan (SRSS), the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) unveiled the newest two volumes, “Gurubodh 4 & 5: Fragrance of Love & Light,” which were written by the author, inspirational mentor, and volunteer Guruji Shri G Narayana.
Guruji Shri G Narayana, the author, is 83 years old, the Chairman Emeritus of Excel Industries Limited, a former Chairman and Director of multiple organisations, and a management mentor, participant, educator, and trainer. Numerous CEOs, executives, instructors, students, businesses, management institutes, colleges, universities, schools, and social, religious, and nonprofit organisations are among the organisations he mentors.
The culmination of a long literary journey, Gurubodh condenses profound insights about leadership, management, work ethics, all world spiritualities, Vedas, Upanishads, Gita Darshan, Dharma, transformation and transcendence, and other thought systems from Guruji’s vast corpus of 737 books, articles, poetry, presentations, and lectures into an approachable, alphabetically organised format.
A profound interpretation of the series’ title was provided by Smt. M.V. Padma, the devoted compiler of Gurubodh Volumes 4 and 5: “Gurubodh is a beautiful confluence of two powerful concepts: ‘Guru’ and ‘Bodha,’ which can be interpreted as ‘knowledge or realisation attained by understanding and experiencing the Ultimate, through the Guru’s teachings, guidance, and his realisations.'”
The chief guest was Sadvichar Parivar, a managing trustee and former chief secretary of the Gujarat government, Shri P. K. Laheri, IAS. At the launch ceremony were Dr. Savan Godiawala, President of AMA; Dr. Kirit Shelat, IAS (Retired), Executive Chairman of NCCSD; Shri KVLN Haribabu, President of SRSS; Mr. Sushil Handa, Chairman of Fifth Veda Enterprises and former MD of Claris Life Sciences; Dr. Bhagyesh Jha, former IAS officer and Chairman of Gujarat Sahitya Academy; and Shri Deevyesh Radia, Past President of AMA.
According to Shri P. K. Laheri, IAS, “Gurubodh Volumes 4 and 5: Fragrance of Love & Light” will be released on June 5th, which is World Environment Day. This is particularly important because the books are centred on the ecosystem, emphasising coexistence, covering ideas and behaviours including people, animals, trees, and the environment at large, and offering solutions to the problems caused by climate change.
In his speech, Dr. Bhagyesh Jha, a distinguished former IAS officer and the chairman of the Gujarat Sahitya Academy, recalled his relationship with Guruji. He gave a succinct introduction to Gurubodh, highlighting the significant change it is promoting. “Guji is a unique ‘Rishi’ whose work focuses on applied philosophy,” Dr. Jha said.
“These volumes contain 149 gems covering all aspects of daily life and challenges, serving as a comprehensive handbook of life and a beacon of wisdom for the reader,” said Mr. Sushil Handa, former MD of Claris Life Sciences and Chairman of Fifth Veda Enterprises.
The AMA President, Dr. Savan Godiawala, sent his sincere appreciation to the esteemed Guruji, G. Narayana, on this remarkable occasion. Innumerable readers’ lives would be enhanced and changed by these pearls of wisdom, he said. Every one of Guruji’s many talks and a few of his written works that I have had the good fortune to attend and read seem like getting his blessing in the form of wise words that apply to laypeople just as much as they do to yogis.”
“Readers will find messages ranging from captivating tales of Akbar and Birbal that impart moral lessons, to timeless principles like the Ten Commandments, sophisticated insights into Negotiating Skills, strategic wisdom drawn from Kautilya’s Strategic Leadership, and the profound spiritual depths of the Upanishads, among many other diverse topics,” stated Dr. Kirit Shelat, Executive Chairman of NCCSD. Readers of all ages, backgrounds, and intellectual interests will find something of great value and inspiration thanks to this unique combination.
Gurubodh Volumes 1 and 2, a compilation of 250 enlightening articles taken from Guruji’s publications, seminars, and presentations, were released at AMA in 2006, marking a significant milestone, according to Mr. Deevyesh Radia. 2014 saw the release of Gurubodh 3. Ten years later, Gurubodh Volumes 4 and 5 have been released, completing what can rightfully be referred to as Guruji’s Magnum Opus.
