On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Indian Coast Guard held a painting competition for schoolchildren in Gandhinagar in preparation for the 47th Raising Day on February 1st.
The ceremony was held in Gandhinagar’s Udyog Bhawan. 110 kids in all, representing 15 schools, took part in the competition. Smt. Jayshree Patel, a renowned art educator and honours graduate of the J.J. School of Arts in Mumbai, served as the competition’s judge. The victors received their prizes from Mrs. Kavita Harbola, Regional President Tatrakshika, Coast Guard Region North West. During the celebration, the children’s instructors who were with them were also recognised.
