Ahmedabad Airport’s Stunning Maison Twenty-Seven Goes Viral
Maison Twenty-Seven Adds Glamorous Hospitality Touch to Ahmedabad Airport
Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), India’s largest private airport operator, has launched Maison Twenty-Seven in partnership with Bastian Hospitality, adjoining the arrivals area of Terminal 2 (T2) at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA).
The launch marks another strategic step in AAHL’s vision of transforming airports into integrated lifestyle, hospitality and urban ecosystems that extend beyond conventional transit infrastructure. Industry experts have observed that airports across the world are now becoming “mini cities” where travellers spend more time shopping, dining, relaxing, and even working before flights. Major airports in Singapore, Dubai and Doha have already adopted this model, and Indian airport operators are now moving in the same direction as passenger traffic continues to rise sharply across the country.
The launch also follows AAHL’s recent partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop and operate five airport-linked hotels across key Indian cities, further strengthening its vision of building integrated airport ecosystems. Aviation and hospitality analysts say airport-linked hotels and lifestyle spaces are becoming a growing business segment because modern travellers now prefer convenience, shorter travel times and premium experiences close to transit hubs.
For Bastian Hospitality, it marks the group’s boldest expansion yet as it completes a decade of shaping some of India’s most celebrated dining and lifestyle experiences. The company has steadily expanded from premium restaurants into broader lifestyle and entertainment experiences. Hospitality reports in recent years have noted that consumers, especially younger urban audiences, now look for “experience-driven” spaces rather than traditional restaurants alone.
Located adjoining T2 of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and within proximity to GIFT City, Maison Twenty-Seven is envisioned as a first-of-its-kind integrated hospitality, wellness and entertainment destination designed for the future of modern Indian living and travel.
Spread across 52,000 square feet, Maison Twenty-Seven has been conceptualised as India’s first airport-integrated hospitality and wellness destination, combining dining, wellness, recovery, entertainment and community-led experiences within a single ecosystem. Experts in urban development say airports are increasingly becoming social spaces for local residents as well, not just passengers. Large airports now attract families, professionals and tourists who visit for restaurants, shopping and events even without travelling.
Strategically located within one of India’s fastest-growing aviation and business corridors, Maison Twenty-Seven aligns with the broader transformation of Ahmedabad into a major transit, commerce and lifestyle destination. Ahmedabad and nearby GIFT City have seen rapid infrastructure growth in recent years, with rising investment in finance, technology, hospitality and real estate sectors. Several business reports have described GIFT City as one of India’s most ambitious financial projects aimed at attracting global companies and international investment.
The project also complements AAHL’s rapidly expanding airport ecosystem and the emergence of GIFT City in adjoining Gandhinagar as a global financial and business hub. The destination also aims to integrate Gujarat’s rich craft and cultural traditions into its larger experience philosophy by creating opportunities for regional artists and artisans to showcase their work within the property. Experts say travellers today increasingly seek local cultural experiences instead of generic luxury spaces, making regional art and craft integration an important trend in hospitality design.
AAHL’s Pranaam service will allow passengers to enjoy the Maison Twenty-Seven without anxiety about boarding the flight. Pranaam service is a guest services platform of AAHL focused on enhancing premium travel, lounge and passenger experiences across its airport network. Premium airport assistance services have become increasingly popular among business travellers, elderly passengers and families who prefer smoother airport movement and personal support during travel.
Speaking on the launch, Mr Ranjit Bindra, Founder, Bastian Hospitality, said: “Maison Twenty-Seven represents an important evolution for Bastian Hospitality as we complete ten years of creating experiential dining and lifestyle destinations in India. We wanted to build a space that responds to how modern consumers increasingly travel, work, recover and connect.”
Industry studies after the Covid-19 pandemic have shown strong growth in wellness tourism and recovery-focused hospitality. Many travellers now actively look for fitness zones, yoga spaces, therapy rooms and healthier dining options while travelling. This shift has pushed hotels, airports and lifestyle brands to invest heavily in wellness-led experiences.
Actor, entrepreneur, wellness advocate and co-founder of Bastian Hospitality, Shilpa Shetty said: “Wellness today is no longer limited to fitness. It shapes how people travel, recharge, spend time with family and build meaningful everyday experiences.”
The wellness centre at Maison Twenty-Seven reflects this growing trend. Facilities such as cryotherapy, HBOT, plunge pools, steam rooms and sound healing studios are becoming more common in luxury hospitality projects worldwide as consumers focus more on physical recovery and mental wellbeing.
Further elevating its family-forward philosophy are immersive lifestyle zones including a games arcade, co-working lounge, curated entertainment experiences, expansive indoor-outdoor dining spaces and dedicated areas designed for children and families. Urban lifestyle experts say mixed-use destinations are now being designed to keep visitors engaged for longer periods by combining workspaces, dining, entertainment and relaxation under one roof.
Maison Twenty-Seven officially commenced dinner services from 21 May 2026, marking Bastian Hospitality’s entry into Ahmedabad. The brand currently operates some of India’s most recognised dining and lifestyle destinations across Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Hospitality analysts believe Ahmedabad’s growing economy, rising disposable incomes and expanding international connectivity make the city an attractive market for premium lifestyle brands looking to expand beyond India’s traditional metro cities.
