Delhi Public School Bopal recently celebrated its Annual Fiesta, Oorukkali 2023-24, with three days of mesmerizing performances by students, highlighting the country’s diverse culture and exceptional talent.
Arunodaya – Awakening the Spirit of India
Grades I to III Students Illuminate the Stage
The first day, themed “Arunodaya – Awakening the Spirit of India,” featured performances by students in grades I to III. The evening, titled Aditya Abhinandan, paid radiant tribute to the sun’s warmth. The cultural showcase included diverse dance forms, tributes to freedom fighters and brave children, and a lively fashion show humorously portraying India’s progress, including the success of food aggregators and digital payments. Noted actor Makarand Shukla graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Colours of Life – Ek Jeevant Safar
Grades IV and V Embark on a Journey of Aman and Roop
The celebration continued with “Colours of Life – Ek Jeevant Safar” on the second day. Students in grades IV and V unfolded the theme of Aman and Roop, exploring the origin of colors. The cultural program showcased captivating performances, including Bhanu Stuti, Anupam Ethnicity, Absolute Atman, Fantasy Land, Limitless Sky, Khusbhoo Mitti Ki, Prakruti Ki Pukar, Harmonious Journey, and Euphoria.
Navras – Ras Madhurya
Grades VI to XII Bring to Life Nine Fundamental Human Emotions
The final day featured Annual Day celebrations on the theme of “Navras – Ras Madhurya,” with students from grades VI to XII taking the stage. Drawing inspiration from the classical Indian concept of nine fundamental human emotions, students delivered mesmerizing performances in dance, drama, and visual arts. Renowned actor Ms. Shital Shah graced the event as the chief guest, making it a vibrant and culturally rich extravaganza.

Principal Lauds Students for Outstanding Performances
Ms. Sabina Sawhney, Principal of DPS Bopal, commended the students for their remarkable performances during the Annual Day celebrations. She emphasized the school’s commitment to holistic development and values beyond textbooks. Ms. Sawhney, along with DPS Bopal Director Ms. Vandna Joshi and esteemed guests, honored students for excelling in both academic and non-academic domains.
