Frankfinn Institute Wins Three THSC Awards At New Delhi Conference

Frankfinn Receives Three THSC Awards As Demand For Trained Aviation And Hospitality Staff Grows

Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training has received three Training Partner Awards at THSC Connect 2026, the annual conference of the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council, held on August 20 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.

The awards were given in the categories of Highest Training Centre Affiliation, Private Funded Short-Term Training and Highest Enrolment in Training of Trainers. Rajan Bahadur, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council, presented the awards to Sudhir Malhotra, Chief Operating Officer of Frankfinn Group.

The conference, titled “The Power of Partnerships”, brought together people from the tourism, hospitality and skills sectors. Other organisations recognised at the event included ITC Maurya New Delhi, Radisson Hotels, Sarovar Hotels and Compass Group.

For Frankfinn, the three awards add to a long record of recognition from THSC. The institute has previously received the council’s Best Training Partner award for 2017-18, 2018-19, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24. In 2022-23, it also received three awards in the same year.

The latest awards come at a time when India’s tourism and hospitality industries are seeking more trained workers. A THSC skill-gap study has estimated that the sector could require about three million additional workers between 2024 and 2028. The study puts the expected workforce at 14.8 million by 2028.

The wider aviation sector is also expanding. The Economic Survey 2025-26 described Indian civil aviation as being on a sustained growth path, supported by passenger demand and airport expansion. Government data released in 2026 showed continued growth in passenger traffic, adding to the need for trained workers across airlines, airports and related services.

Frankfinn was incorporated in 1993 and completed 33 years of operations in 2026. The company describes itself as the World’s No. 1 Air Hostess Training Institute and operates training centres across India, including in smaller cities and towns.

Its training programmes cover aviation, hospitality, travel and customer service. The institute says its courses are linked with the National Skill Development Corporation and the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council. Its centres include computer laboratories, audio-visual teaching equipment and classrooms designed for vocational training. Students are also taught computerised reservation systems used in the airline, hotel and travel industries.

Frankfinn has an industry partnership with Air India for cabin service familiarisation training. Students completing the relevant course receive a co-branded certificate from Air India, according to the institute.

The company also has a long association with the Emirates Group. Frankfinn says it has served as the sole recruitment partner for the Emirates Group, including Emirates Airline, for 14 years.

Placement figures form a major part of Frankfinn’s claims about its training programmes. The institute says more than 10,000 of its students obtained jobs in aviation, hospitality, travel and customer service during the past year. It also says its highest salary package currently stands at Rs 2,45,000 a month. These figures are company-reported figures and are not presented as an independent industry-wide assessment.

Frankfinn has received several other awards over the years. According to the institute, it was named Best Air Hostess Training Institute by Assocham for 11 years, covering 2011-19, 2021 and 2022. It also received the Assocham Gold Award for Best Higher Vocational Institute for Skill Development for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019.

In 2021, Frankfinn received the Best Aviation Training Institute award at the Assocham Knowledge Management Virtual Meet and Awards on Leadership Excellence. The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry recognised the institute in 2019 for Outstanding Contribution in Cabin Crew Training. In January 2022, it received the Best Institute in Placement award at the Assocham Education Excellence Summit cum Awards Ceremony.

The institute’s latest recognition also reflects the growing importance of trainer development in the skills sector. THSC runs Training of Trainer programmes because qualified trainers are needed to deliver standardised vocational courses. Its training system uses qualification packs and occupational standards to define the skills and knowledge required for specific jobs.

“These three awards from THSC are a proud moment for the entire Frankfinn family. They reaffirm our unwavering commitment to delivering world-class aviation and hospitality training to students across India, including in smaller towns and cities. We remain dedicated to building on this legacy and continuing to set new benchmarks in skill development for the aviation and hospitality industry,” said Mr. Sudhir Malhotra, Chief Operating Officer, Frankfinn Group.

For students considering aviation or hospitality careers, the awards put renewed attention on the role of structured vocational training. The more important test for any training provider, however, remains whether its courses match industry requirements and whether students can convert their training into recognised skills and actual employment.
