In Junagadh, Shri Jagdish Vishvakarma Ensures Gujarat Vikas Sankalp Benefits Reach Everyone In The State
The Gujarat State BJP Media Cell has shared news about a recent event. Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, the President of the Gujarat State BJP, spoke at the ‘Vikas Sankalp Sabha’ (Development Resolve Meeting). These meetings were held in the villages of Agatray and Samadhiyala in the Junagadh district to support the local government elections.
The political landscape in Gujarat is heating up as local elections draw near. Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, the President of the Gujarat State BJP, recently took to the stage in Junagadh district. Speaking at the ‘Vikas Sankalp Sabha’ in Agatray and Samadhiyala, he shared a powerful message about progress, farmer welfare, and the future of the state.
One of the most important parts of the speech focused on the tough times farmers have faced. Recently, heavy and unseasonal rains caused a lot of worry for those who grow our food. To help, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced a historic £1 billion (Rs 10,000 crore) relief package.
News reports from earlier this year confirm that this is one of the largest support plans ever seen in Gujarat. The government also promised to buy crops like groundnuts and pulses worth £1.5 billion (Rs 15,000 crore) at fair prices. This ensures that farmers do not lose money because of bad weather. Shri Vishwakarma pointed out that BJP workers were on the ground, literally standing in the rain with the farmers, to show they cared.
The way we farm is changing. The President shared that over 1 million farmers in Gujarat have now moved to natural farming. This is a way of growing food without using harsh chemicals. It is better for the earth and for our health.
To help these farmers, Amul, the famous dairy brand from Gujarat, is stepping in. Amul recently hit a massive milestone, reaching a brand turnover of £10 billion (Rs 1 lakh crore). They plan to use their global network to sell these natural farm products in places like Europe and the USA. This means a small farmer in a Gujarat village could see their produce sold in a big city halfway across the world!
Water has always been a big topic in the dry regions of Saurashtra. Shri Vishwakarma reminded the crowd that it was PM Modi who finished the Narmada project, which had been stuck for years. Just 17 days after becoming Prime Minister, he gave it the green light. Today, the ‘SAUNI’ scheme ensures that water reaches even the most remote areas.
Gujarat is also leading the way in clean energy. Currently, over 1.1 million homes have solar panels on their roofs. This makes Gujarat the top state in India for solar power. Not only is this good for the planet, but it also helps families save a lot of money on their monthly electricity bills.
The speech took a sharper turn when discussing political rivals. Shri Vishwakarma strongly criticised recent comments made by Congress leaders. He mentioned that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had recently called the people of Gujarat “illiterate” during a speech in Kerala.
While Mr Kharge later expressed regret, the BJP President said the people of Gujarat would not forget this. He argued that the Congress party often tries to make Gujarat look bad. He also said that Rahul Gandhi, who has family roots in Italy, cannot understand what it is like for a mother in a rural village to cook over a smoky stove.
Looking back, the President spoke about the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) campaign. He recalled how PM Modi, during his time as Chief Minister, would personally walk little girls to school to encourage education.
As the election on the 26th approaches, the message from the Junagadh rally was clear: the BJP believes its record of development speaks for itself. They are asking voters to choose their candidates for the District, Taluka, and City Councils to keep this progress moving forward.
The event ended with a respectful tribute to the late Shri Rajani Saheb, a local leader who did much for the community. With many leaders and citizens in attendance, the meeting showed that the spirit of development is very much alive in Junagadh
