PM Modi Meets Brave Soldiers at Adampur Air Base After Operation Sindoor

“A Very Special Experience,” Says Prime Minister Modi as He Praises India’s Armed Forces

In a powerful and emotional moment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Air Force Station in Punjab’s Jalandhar district on Tuesday morning. His visit came just a day after he addressed the nation, issuing a strong warning to Pakistan over recent nuclear capability claims and discussing India’s swift and decisive Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor was launched by India on May 7, targeting terror camps across the border in Pakistan. The operation was a response to continued cross-border terrorism, and it showcased India’s strong stance against any threats to national security.

In retaliation, Pakistan carried out strikes on May 9 and 10, claiming to have destroyed important Indian military sites, including the Adampur air base. But PM Modi’s surprise visit to Adampur sent out a strong message — India’s defences remain intact and unshaken.

Early on Tuesday morning, PM Modi arrived at the Adampur air base, India’s second-largest Air Force base. He was briefed by senior officers of the Indian Air Force and then spent quality time with the air warriors and soldiers who played a key role during Operation Sindoor.

Speaking about the visit, an official source said, “PM Modi went to the Adampur air base early in the morning. He was briefed by Air Force personnel and interacted with the brave jawans who were part of this high-stakes operation.”

PM Modi also took to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his experience. He posted several photos of his interaction with the troops, where he could be seen smiling, talking, and encouraging the soldiers. Alongside the pictures, he wrote,

“Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination, and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

Adampur is not just any air base — it holds great strategic value. Located near the India-Pakistan border, it has played a crucial role in past military operations, including the Kargil War and the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Its position allows for quick air responses, making it vital for national defence.

By choosing to visit Adampur, PM Modi not only honoured the soldiers stationed there but also strongly rejected Pakistan’s claims of damaging the base during their retaliatory strikes. His presence reassured the nation and the military forces that India stands strong and united.

Although a ceasefire is officially in place between India and Pakistan, the Indian defence forces are taking no chances. The Indian Air Force, Navy, Border Security Force (BSF), and paramilitary forces are all on high alert. Patrols have been increased along sensitive zones, and command centres are actively monitoring any suspicious activity from across the border.

The recent conflict and India’s response under Operation Sindoor have made it clear that the country is ready to defend itself at any cost.

While PM Modi was in Punjab meeting with frontline warriors, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a high-level meeting in New Delhi. The meeting was focused on reviewing the current security situation in light of recent tensions with Pakistan.

Present at the meeting were:

  • Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan

  • Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi

  • Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi

  • Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh

The top defence officials reviewed developments along India’s western border, Pakistan’s response to Operation Sindoor, and national preparedness. According to officials, India is closely monitoring every movement across the border and is fully prepared to handle any emergency.

India’s political and military leadership are working hand-in-hand during this tense period. With PM Modi visiting soldiers and the Defence Minister holding regular reviews, it’s clear that the government is giving full support to the armed forces.

Citizens across the country have also expressed their gratitude and pride through social media. Many shared PM Modi’s post and praised the bravery of the soldiers. Schools, colleges, and communities held prayers and candle marches in support of India’s military.

PM Modi’s visit to Adampur air base is more than just a morale booster — it is a strong signal to the world. It shows that India respects its soldiers, trusts its military, and will never be threatened by false propaganda or cross-border terrorism.

At a time when national security is of utmost importance, India’s leaders are standing right beside its soldiers, making it clear that the nation is united, strong, and ready to face any challenge.
